(1) Next Men's Minsitry Meeting, Tuesday, September 28 @ 7 PM in the Fireside Room.  

Dan Litwiller will be leading and facilitating our next Men's Ministry meeting.
Our Topic: "Developing your Legacy: Discipleship and Friendship Among Other Men.
Location: Fireside Room
 
Discussion: 
1.     The biblical basis for discipleship and friendship;
2.     The difference between discipleship, accountability partner, and friend;
3.     Practical steps in searching, developing, and maintaining these relationships. 
4.     Importance of Regular Christian Friendships among other men.

(2) Trustee Church Work Day - Saturday, October 9th from 9 AM - Noon.   
 
The Trustees are sponsoring an All Church Work Day, and volunteers, both men and woman of all ages, are needed to help work on the many projects in the church buildings and on the grounds.
  • Can’t make it for the entire time? No problem! Help out for as long as you can.
  • Check back as more information will be forthcoming.

Mission Statement

“The Men’s Ministry at Lakeview Church exists to teach, encourages and develop men to be Christ-like in all aspect of their lives (personal, home, work, church and community.) There is to be no part of our lives where our faith, our relationship to Christ, will not impact.”

Objectives - To help guide the direction of our Men's Ministry and to determine which programs, events and activities we would offer, the Leadership Team arrived at the following three primary Objectives.

1. Character – Teaching and encouraging men to be men of total Christian Character. In our thoughts, speech and action, where in private or in public, our life is to reflect a Christ-like character.

2. Leadership – To develop all men to be godly leaders in all areas of their lives; their home and church, in their workplace and community.

3. Relationships – To encourage men to develop deeper and more meaningful relationships with other men in order to be accountable and seek support as they grow in character and leadership. To provide them with opportunities to interact with other men in various activities, which will promote the development and growing of these friendships. 

Our Foundation - The foundation of our ministry is Christ and upon that foundation are the two pillars of Scripture and Prayer.

1. Scripture – We are committed to becoming men who encouraging men to both love and commitment to the Reading, Studying, and Applying the Word of God to our lives. 

2. Prayer – To develop a consistent and thriving prayer life.

Trustee Work Projects - Looking to Help Out Around the Church?

The Trustee's have put together a list of projects that are not complicated or involved.

  1. To Get StartedClick here for the list of projects along with a brief description. 
  2. Scheduling – Once you select the project(s), you set your own work schedule.
  3. Time – The time commitments for these projects range from a few minutes to a few hours (i.e. patching the ceiling).
  4. Material – The Project List will note any material that is needed. If you purchase material, save the receipt and you will be reimbursed by the church.
  5. Questions –  Contact Paul Trantham or the Trustee assigned to the project.
